Anyone who has the experience certifying an architectural firm for ISO 9001: 2008? Any best practices you can share? Thank you.

architectural firm guidelines

Note few important points:

1. Desigining is your service and covered under clause 7.5 (not 7.3)

2. Design and development (7.3) is for design and development of product/service offered by you (that is architectural designs). So setting up desiging flow will be covered in 7.3. You can even exclude 7.3 (shocking?) as you may not be desiging the "architectural designing service"

3. You cannot exclude 7.5, as you are not making buildings (production) but providing desiging as service.

4. You need to apply requirements of 7.3 (planning, input, output, review, verification, validation, changes) within clause 7.5.1 to meet customer requirement.

Application of clause 7 to service industry

I am from Engineering Consultancy and we provide services in designing.

The clause 7 and its sub clauses are related to product & service both. Which the sub clauses can be excluded to avoid confusion in implementation.
